*****

Elizabeth Eulberg’s debut novel is absolutely wonderful. It was super cute, funny, and such a light read but with real meaning behind it. It’s one of my new favorite chick-lit books. =]
The Lonely Hearts Club is a story all about dating in high school. Or maybe I should say, not dating in high school. It was hilarious. All these girls join forces against the jerks who treat them like crap. That’s my kind of girl power book. It was all about friendship and being true to yourself. More girls need to read this and take it to heart.
Penny Lane was a bit pitiful at first. She was one of those girls who assumed everything was her fault but once she got over that she was an amazingly strong heroine. And of course she had help. Tracy and Diane were the best but they were only two of many. The whole Lonely Hearts Club was such a strong support group and each member was a unique character!
The plot was a bit typical but it was still enjoyable. Elizabeth Eulberg added her own flair to the chick-lit genre and I think that The Lonely Hearts Club will stand out as something with a little more substance than all the rest.
Overall, The Lonely Hearts Club was a fun book with some real lessons in life and love included. It didn’t take long to have me hooked and after that I just devoured it. Definitely add this one to you to-be-read list!

  1. I absolutely love this book. I found out about it from a friend and read it right away and I have to say it’s one of my favourite books, maybe even my top favourite book. I just love Elizabeth Eulberg’s books though, an amazing writer in my opinion.
