Book Haul! (115)

Book Haul is a weekly feature here on Katie’s Book Blog.  It is not something I created and I take no credit for it.  Anyone who wants to participate can and you don’t necessarily have to call it a book haul. It is a list of what books you have received over the previous week, either for review, from the library, from the bookstore, or from trades.

  1. Awesome mailbox! So many good books that I wouldn’t know which to read first! Looking forward to reading Reckless, and Imaginary Girls looks good too.

I display some of my button collection on my wall, on one of those fabric covered bulletin boards. Or you could pin them to wide ribbons and hang from the ceiling. Enjoy!

    Alexia’s Books and Such…

  2. Great books, I really have been meaning to get Blood Red Road and Imaginary Girls, I have heard great things about it! =D Enjoy!

  3. Wow, what a haul! The Near Witch, Blood Red Road, and Imaginary girls are faaabulous! Hope you enjoy all the books you got this week! 🙂

As for your button question…I’ve been putting mine on tote bags. I even had a guy ask me about The Near Witch because of a button I had on my bag one day!

  4. Nice IMM! I way to display buttons is you could get a bulletin board and stick them into the cork board with the pin part of it. you can also decorate the cork with fabric and/or ribbon 🙂

  5. Sweet IMM! I also got bookmarks from Stefne x) I was so happy when I got them! As for buttons, Anything in my room that’s displaying some type of cloth. I have two cloth totes that I put my hair and face stuff in and they’re covered in buttons. Maybe if you own a lamp you don’t like you can decorate them with buttons =P

  6. Ooh! Nice swag! Me=bookmark obsessed.
Is it strange that I’m jealous of your Iron Queen button?
Ways to display them…maybe a cork board? Or hang up a string on your wall, and put the pin thingy piece around the string, and let them all hang in a line? Or hang up a piece of cloth on your wall for all of them? (Hm…I should be listening to my own advice…)
    Books…
I want Sharks and Boys! I’m planning to read it this summer too 😉
Ooh! Love Princess Academy! (Not quite historical fiction, FYI. It’s fantasy.)
Suggestions for historical fiction challenge: Pagan’s Chronicles by Catherine Jinks. There are 4 and a companion, but they’re really quick reads, and hysterical.

    Nice IMM. Enjoy reading them!

  7. You got some great books this week!

Suggestions for historical reads: A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly (one of my favorites), The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, What I saw and how I lied by Judy Blundell, and Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson (I heard Chains by her is really good too but I haven’t read that).

  8. Because you didn’t already have enough books to read from BEA you had to buy 500000 more this week??? LOL 😉 Don’t worry, I completely understand your addiction…lol

You had a great week! If you get any really great/fun/unique suggestions for the buttons please share them with me!!

  9. Laura Wiess is a wonderful author. Have you read her latest? I think you’d like it. It’s an issue contemporary with heartbreaking characters you’ll love and a wonderful romance.

Lovely books!! They’re awesome and many I haven’t heard of or read any reviews of either.

    Lovely vlog 🙂
