Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  For more information and a list of past and future topics, go here.

Links go to my reviews.

Be warned: most of these are going to be guys.  This is more like a top ten list of my dream guys.  =)

1. Cricket from Lola & The Boy Next Door:  Oh my gosh this boy is a total sweetheart and just so dang perfect.

2. Harlin from A Need So Beautiful & A Want So Wicked: Harlin is sexy, kind, loving, and protective.  He is a great guy.

3. Jack from Everneath: Jack seems like a typical jock at first but he is so not.  He has a whole other side and it’s kind, sweet, funny, and wonderful.

4. Adam from Shatter Me: He is sweet but also kind of tough.  He’s protective and fierce.  You don’t want to be on his bad side.

5.  Rowan from Wanderlove: He is a bad boy trying to stay good.  He has lots of issues but he makes up for them by being awesome.

Okay, now for the girls:

6. Lola from Lola & The Boy Next Door: Lola is the girl I have always wanted to be.  She is bold, outgoing, talented, and funny.  She doesn’t care what people think of her.

7. Rhine from Wither & Fever: Rhine is so brave.  She is fierce, loyal, sweet, and loving.  Rhine is one of the best heroines in young adult.

8. Lena from Delirium & Pandemonium: Lena starts out as a kind of weak character.  However that doesn’t last long.  She is curious and willing to dig deeper to find out the truth.  She becomes fierce, loyal, and brave and she takes crap from no one.  She is awesome.

9. Araby from Masque Of The Red Death: Araby is very sheltered at first but that quickly changes.  She is forced to grow up rather quickly and it changes her quite a bit.  She becomes someone strong and capable and brave.  She’s a little gloomy but she can’t really help that.

10. Ismae from Grave Mercy: Ismae is a character that I hated at first.  She was cold and closed off.  It took a while for her to change but she definitely changed for the better.  She became kind, friendly, loving, and bold.  She was not afraid to stand up for those she loved.

  1. I really felt the same way about Ismae. At the beginning, I wanted to yell at her sometimes to get it together. But she really made me love her by the end. And Cricket is the perfect dream boy. I almost completely agree with this list.

    My List

  2. Ok this is awful! I haven’t read any of these books (yet!) I hear such awesome things and they’re on my summer to read list! I desperately want to know these characters so I can love them too! Happy Tuesday!

  3. Araby and Ismae YAY!!! I loved these books! I definitively need finished copies of them! 🙂 You have SO many I still need to get too! *pouts* I wish there were more hours in the day! Or perhaps some hours I get that no one else gets! 🙂 Here’s our Top 10 this week! Happy reading! 🙂

  4. YO ISMAE! Perfect. She belongs on all of these lists, including mine, where I sadly forgot to add her. But that’s so perfect. She is fantastic.
I love all the Stephanie Perkins love, too! I love Cricket and Lola, but I went with St. Clair on my list. You know, a little props for the first one.
I can’t wait to read Masque of the Red Death and check out this Araby, too! I’ve heard so many good things about that book! 🙂

  5. I MUST read Suzanne Young’s A Need so Beautiful and A Want so Wicked! Harlin sounds awesome.

Totally agree with you about Lola and Cricket 🙂 All the others too 🙂

    Awesome list:)
