Blogger Interview: Lissbeth from Read-A-holicZ

Today I have an interview with the awesome Lissbeth from Read-A-holicZ.

What are you like outside of blogging?

Outside of blogging I am a very active person, not in the physical way but more in that I am always doing something. Either working, reading or just helping someone out. I guess I’m a bit shy, but most definetively not quiet if I feel that I have something to say.

What made you decide to start your blog?

I guess you could say my sister. I used to rant to her about books that i had just read & loved or hated. She eventually got annoyed with being my only ears, so i decided to put my opinions somewhere where I could rant off and hopefully meet people who loved books as much as me.

What is your best book blogging moment?

I would have to say the first time one of my many favorite authors read my review of her book and blogged about how it had made her day.

To help some of the newer bloggers: what have you found to be the best way to network and get your blog out there?

I realized that people wouldn’t know my blog existed unless I TOLD them about it. I tried many ways of getting my blog known. But the best ways was to abuse my social media networks like Twitter and Facebook. Also being blog tours giveaway hops really helped out too.

What book turned you on to YA?

Oh god, this question always makes me smile, I probably wouldn’t have even BEEN reading if it wasn’t for the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. It was the first time a book got me interested, made me cry, and made me realize that not all books are boring.

How many books do you own?

I own around 150 books altogether.

What are some blogs you recommend reading?

I would definetly recommend Fiction Freak, Wintry Words, I am A reader, Not a Writer, Citrus Reads, ***Singing and Reading in the Rain***, and LC’s Adventures in Libraryland.

Favorites:

Book of all time: Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon

New release: Throne of Glass

-Genre: Paranormal/ fantasy

-TV show: Criminal Minds

-Candy: lollipop

-Song: Set Fire to the rain by adele

  1. I love Lissbeth! She’s so sweet and one of my favorite people that I follow. The Uglies series was one of the books that got me into reading, too. I blew through them all back in the eighth grade and never looked back. I need to buy them all and re-read them!
