Books By Their Covers is a feature here on Katie’s Book Blog. It is created by me and it is a chance for me to share my love of book covers. In this feature, I will pick one book cover and give you guys my opinion of it.
My opinion: I don’t really like this cover. I loved the covers for Delirium and Pandemonium but this one just doesn’t do it for me. There is just something about this girl’s face that I don’t like. And I know that’s a bad reason not to like a cover but that is totally what I don’t like about it. I like the font, I like the flowers, I like everything but the girl. I am really happy that it does match the other covers though.
I agree with you here- the expression on her face is a bit off-putting. I do like the flowers, though. I think that they should have made all the covers match Delirium’s other cover, because I much prefer that one.
I sort a argree, but I have a different downer. This cover is too much like Pandemonium. They should’ve made it stand out more and made her expression show something.
The first thing I thought of when I saw this cover was “That looks like Kristen Stewart”
She has a pretty face but the angle is a bit weird. Also, I don’t think her complexion works well with the red flowers.
I honestly don’t like any of this series covers. I typically don’t like it when the model’s face is showing. Even though the original Delirium cover wasn’t that great either, I still wished they would’ve stuck with tha design for the whole series.
I’m not a fan of this series covers, which is part of the reason why I have yet to pick them up. The other part of the reason is because my TBR list is forever growing, but if the cover doesn’t attract me, I’m not in the biggest rush. Something about her and the angle is a bit weird, almost as if she’s been airbrushed a little too much. I think that covers with people on them are tricky because if you do too much to alter their appearance, it’ll look bad. It has to be just right.
At first glance this cover is fine, but I agree that when you look closer her expression is a little off putting.

Honestly I agree with you. The girls face is a bit weird and there’s just something about it that seems a bit animalistic. It’s giving me the creeps…. It’s a pity because I LOVE the other covers in this series.
She certainly has a pout going in there.
I loved the original Delirium cover, the blue one.
