My Latest Obsession: Revenge!

My Latest Obsession is a new post that I will be doing every now and then featuring something I’m obsessed with. It could be anything from a song to a cartoon character, it all just depends on my mood.

Are you noticing a theme with these posts?  Clearly I’m obsessed with TV shows.

My latest obsession is the TV show Revenge!

Recently, at the urging of one of my friends, I started Revenge.  The first season is on Netflix so I figured I didn’t really have an excuse not to watch it.  I started it with low expectations just because I wasn’t sure what to expect but even if I’d gone in with the highest expectations, this show would have exceeded them.

The cast of this show is perfect.  There are the people you love and the people you love to hate.  There really isn’t much of a middle ground with these guys.  Emily is your protagonist but it’s odd because she is out for revenge and she’s a little sociopathic.  Sometimes I question why I’m rooting for her since she is kind of crazy.   However, I can’t help but feel sorry for her and want her to get revenge on these terrible people.  And to help her with her quest for revenge is Nolan Ross.  Nolan is probably my favorite character from the show.   He adds some much needed humor and I just love him.  I also love Jack.  He’s such a sweetheart and I want him and Emily to get a happy ending.  Somehow. Then there are the people you love to hate: the Graysons.  The kids aren’t really bad news but the parents are pure evil.  Victoria and Conrad Grayson have no morals.  I want to see them get what’s coming to them.

The plot is crazy!  I never know where the show is going to go from one episode to the next.  Sure the story is all about revenge but it goes so much deeper than that.  Everything that happened with Emily’s dad is tied up with the Graysons who are tied up with some bad people who are tied up with people that Emily is close to and so on and so forth.  The plot is so twisted and awesome.  I really look forward to seeing where it goes now that I’m caught up and on season 2.

Do you watch Revenge?  What do you think of it?

  1. My cousin and I watch this together every Sunday and discuss it like they’re real people haha. I love all the drama and suspense. Season two is getting kind of confusing…so many subplots. That’s why I love Netflix. I just started Vampire Diaries recently. 🙂

  2. I am halfway through the first season so far and really loving it too! I only have time to watch a few episodes a week but I cannot wait to be caught up!

I also love the dynamic Nolan adds and of course Jack! 🙂

  3. OMG I love Revenge! One my my favourite TV shows ever <3
And yeah, Nolan’s my favourite too, hehe. I love the intensity and suspense in Revenge, I haven’t seen this much of it in any other show!
And I’m totally rooting for Emily and Jack 😉

  4. I watched the first season but, I always get behind and it’s definitely one of those shows that if you miss an episode it can get totally confusing lol.

  5. This is an AWESOME show! I loved the movie for The Count of Monte Cristo, so when I saw they were making a TV show from a female perspective, I knew I would love it — I was so glad to be right! LOVE Emily’s character and Nolan is wonderful, too. This is one show that hubs and I always look forward to!

  6. LOVE Revenge! Definitely my fave show. I hope they chill on the subplots this season because it’s getting confusing and they’re adding in too many new characters. Keep it to the core group – they’re cast perfectly.

  7. I really want to start this one Netflix, but there is only the first season. I’m afraid I’ll be addicted like I was with Once Upon A Time, and not be able to watch this season. We don’t have cable, because no body really watched much tv, but me. I might to watch it anyway. It really does sound awesome.

  8. I watched the series last year or so when I was in Singapore. NOLAN. <3 He’s the greatest. I love how he’s weird but funny and charming regardless. Also, about Emily, I fully support her. Yes, she’s a sociopath, but sometimes bad people don’t get their comeuppance, and it’s nice to see her take matters into her own hands.

I’m really excited for season 2!

  9. Please keep recommending shows like this, because there are lots I don’t watch because I don’t know anyone who watches and likes it, and like this I can get new favorites!
