It looks like the Divergent movie could have a Four very soon.  According to Variety, Lucas Till, Alex Pettyfer, and Jeremy Irvine are three front-runners for the role.  Personally I don’t see any of them as Four but what can you do?

The Host movie has a ton of new posters and pictures.  Head over to Alice Marvels to check them all out!

All you Jessica Darling and Marcus Flutie fans should be happy.  Megan McCafferty announced her new book,JESSICA DARLING’S IT LIST: THE (TOTALLY NOT) GUARANTEED GUIDE TO POPULARITY, PRETTINESS AND PERFECTION, which will be released in September of this year.  The book will follow middle school age Jessica, Marcus, Hope, and the Clueless Crew.

MacMillan Children’s is following the herd and creating Swoon Reads, a website where authors can upload their work, readers can read it and rate it, and the highest rating books will get published by MacMillan.  Head over to MacTeen Books site for more info!

  1. Oh wow, thank you for the mention Katie!

I personally don’t see any of those as Four either. If they cast Alex Pettyfer though, I probably won’t even see it. I all ready really dislike Shailene Woodley for Tris, so I’m the opposite of excited right now.

  2. Half the cheap ones aren’t out on Kindle in the UK yet, making me sad – but Crash is just 99p, making me very happy! Thanks for sharing all of those with us. πŸ™‚

  3. Yay!!! Please do more of these posts because I LOVE them!!! I can kinda see Lucas Till/Alex Pettyfer making an okay Tobias. I really don’t think anyone could play him perfectly though. Is there anyone else who thinks Alex should have been cast as Jace? Because I hate the casting… Sierra
    Keep growing beautiful!

  4. How I love these posts! They’re always SO happy. I’m totally unhappy with the Divergent casting, and I don’t plan to watch the movie. The book is perfect in my head, and that’s how I want it to stay. That may change later on though. πŸ˜‰ Anyways, there are some really awesome cover reveals too! I especially like Mistwalker’s, and I can’t believe how I haven’t heard of it before.

    Thanks for sharing Katie! <3

  5. Wow Pushing the Limits for 2.99!! That is a steal! I’ve been so excited for the Jessica Darling Prequel, and now there’s a date!!! SO excited! Thanks for sharing, I love this feature πŸ™‚

  6. i agree with you.. I am not liking who they cast as Tris, and now the top runners for Four are NOT impressive whatsoever.. divergent is one of my all time favorite books but now I’m not excited ONE BIT for the movie =(

as for The Host, i feel the actors playing melanie/wanda and jared fit the part but the guy playing Ian? where did HE COME FROM? :S

    great post Katie!!

  7. Thanks for sharing all of this. I love these posts! Currently reading The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden and I’m so happy I got it. It’s a great contemporary. All those cover reveals are so pretty! Can’t wait for them to be on my shelves πŸ™‚

  8. News for Nerds is back! Yay, this is my favorite meme.
You should try The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen. I really love that book. But above all I recommend Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. That book is a MUST read. My heart still hurts just thinking about that one…

  9. These are one of my favorite posts from you! It’s so nice having bookish news in one place. I love seeing the pretty collage of cover reveals; my favorite is The Morning Star.

  11. The Lonely Hearts Club was such a good, meaningful book and I’m so happy even today it’s on sale at times πŸ™‚

It’s so cool to see how wary people were about the Divergent movie, wondering about the casting choices, and now most people love it πŸ™‚

    Did you enjoy it ?
