YA March Madness! #YAMM

I am so excited to announce that I will be hosting the YA March Madness bracket again this year!

If you don’t follow sports (like me), March is sometimes referred to as “March Madness.”  Throughout the month of March, college basketball teams compete in the NCAA championship tournament.  A lot of people make brackets for this tournament and try to guess exactly what team is going to win.  Last year, Jaime,ShanynErica, and I participated in a similar tournament for YA books.
The basketball version of March Madness is broken down into four sections by regions.  Our version of March Madness will instead have four sections by genre.  Fantasy, science fiction/dystopian, contemporary, and paranormal.  I am in charge of the paranormal bracket!
Each section of the bracket starts with sixteen books (teams).  To come up with the books we will be hosting a nomination period.  During that nomination period you may nominate up to two books in each category (bracket).  On March 11, the top 16 books will be revealed and entered into the YA March Madness tournament!
Books for the tournament must have been published in 2013, be YA, and fit the genre that you are nominating them for.  That means all nominations here must fit into the paranormal genre!  Please only nominate paranormal YA books here!  Head over to the other blogs participating to nominate in the other genres.
Nominations for the paranormal bracket will be open until Saturday, March 8 at 9 PM PST (12 AM EST)!
If you’d like to help spread the word, use the #YAMM hashtag on Twitter or steal the graphic from above!
To nominate in the other genres please visit:
Two Chicks On Books (Science Fiction/Dystopian)
The Book Cellar (Fantasy)
Chick Loves Lit (Contemporary)

  1. This is such an awesome contest you guys organized, and thank you for doing it because there’s a lot of work that goes into it! But we readers love it 🙂

It would be awesome if there was a contest at Valentines for the swooniest book boys, similar to this but just for the characters not the book as a whole.
