Top Ten Books I Want To Read and Don’t Own!

Untitled design (1)

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. For more information and a list of past and future topics, go here.

This is a really hard topic for me.  I have this tendency to buy every book I ever plan on reading.  That means most of the ones I want to read that I don’t own either aren’t out yet or are too expensive.  I did manage to find ten though!

1. The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making (Fairyland #1) by Catherynne M. Valente – I had the chance to get a copy of this one year at ALA but it didn’t really appeal to me at the time.  Then all my blogger friends started raving about it and now I’m sad I don’t have a copy.

2. Boneseeker by Brynn Chapman – I saw the cover for this one a few months ago and have wanted to read it ever since.  Sadly I haven’t been able to find a copy at my local bookstore and I’m not big on ordering online so I haven’t got a copy yet.

3. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen – Okay, who wouldn’t want to own this book?  Captain Hook and a gorgeous cover?  I need a copy on my shelf.  Sadly I just haven’t had a ton of extra money for books lately so I haven’t picked it up.

4. The Glass Sentence (The Mapmakers Trilogy #1) by S.E. Grove – This is another one I want to own for the cover.  It also sounds awesome.  I love anything to do with maps so this one really intrigues me.

5. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover – With my current obsession being new adult books, of course I want this one.  Once again, this is a case of not enough money for all the books.

6. One Tiny Lie (Ten Tiny Breaths #2) by K.A. Tucker – I like to read series books consecutively but I don’t often have time to read that many books at once, especially if they aren’t review books.  I got the first book in this series for review but didn’t read it until recently.  Now I just need to pick up the rest of the series when I have time.

7. Sweet Filthy Boy (Wild Seasons #1) by Christina Lauren – This is totally a guilty pleasure book for me but I haven’t had the money to buy it or the time to read it lately.

8. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline – I’m attempting to expand my reading horizons and this is one book that I’ve heard great things about that’s not a genre I typically read.  As soon as I have a little extra cash, I plan on picking this one up.

9. Night Film by Marisha Pessl – Once again, not a genre I typically read.  Also, it’s an adult novel so it costs more.  I tend to wait for the paperback version.

10. Written in my Own Heart’s Blood (Outlander #8) by Diana Gabaldon – So I’m only on book 3 right now but I really would like to have all the books in this series, especially since I”m kind of powering through them right now.  Too bad it’s so expensive!
