She used to be a good student, but …more Things in Delilah Hannaford’s life have a tendency to fall apart.

She used to be a good student, but she can’t seem to keep it together anymore. Her “boyfriend” isn’t much of a boyfriend. And her mother refuses to discuss the fight that divided their family eight years ago. Falling apart, it seems, is a Hannaford tradition.

Over a summer of new friendships, unexpected romance, and moments that test the complex bonds between mothers and daughters, Delilah must face her family’s painful past. Can even her most shattered relationships be pieced together again?

I loved Sarah Ockler’s debut novel, Twenty Boy Summer, and I can’t wait to read this one.  I have heard nothing but good things about it.  Also, it turns out that Sarah Ockler lives in Colorado and I am going to get the chance to meet her this October.  I’m so excited!

  1. I was reading through the summary and didn’t find it to be all that interesting but when you said it was a Sarah Ockler book I was surprised. I’ll definitely pick this one up now because I fell in love with Twenty Boy Summer.

  2. I’ve actually just finished reading Twenty Boy Summer, like a day ago. I loved it too. I’ll definitely have to check this one out. Great pick, Katie! =)
