Cover Crush: Harper Edition!

Title: Ten
Author: Gretchen McNeil
Release date: September 18, 2012

And their doom comes swiftly.

It was supposed to be the weekend of their lives – three days on Henry Island at an exclusive house party. Best friends Meg and Minnie each have their own reasons for wanting to be there, both of which involve Kamiak High’s most eligible bachelor, T.J. Fletcher. But what starts out as a fun-filled weekend turns dark and twisted after the discovery of a DVD with a sinister message: Vengeance is mine.

Suddenly, people are dying and the teens are cut off from the outside world. No electricity, no phones, no internet, and a ferry that isn’t scheduled to return for two days. As the deaths become more violent and the teens turn on each other, can Meg find the killer before more people die? Or is the killer closer to her than she could ever imagine?

I freaking love this cover! It looks so creepy! I loved Possess so I am really eager to read this one.

BTW, does anyone else think of And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie when looking at the cover and summary?

Title: Glass Heart (Cold Kiss #2)

I really like this cover.  I think it goes great with Cold Kiss.

Title: Through To You
Author: Emily Hainsworth
Release date: October 2, 2012

A romantic sci-fi thriller about love and second chances.

Camden Pike has been grief-stricken since his girlfriend, Viv, died. Viv was the last good thing in his life: helping him rebuild his identity after a career-ending football injury, picking up the pieces when his home life shattered, and healing his pain long after the pain meds wore off. And now, he’d give anything for one more glimpse of her. But when Cam makes a visit to the site of Viv’s deadly car accident, he sees some kind of apparition. And it isn’t Viv.

The apparition’s name is Nina, and she’s not a ghost. She’s a girl from a parallel world, and in this world, Viv is still alive. Cam can’t believe his wildest dreams have come true. All he can focus on is getting his girlfriend back, no matter the cost. But things are different in this other world: Viv and Cam have both made very different choices, things between them have changed in unexpected ways, and Viv isn’t the same girl he remembers. Nina is keeping some dangerous secrets, too, and the window between the worlds is shrinking every day. As Cam comes to terms with who this Viv has become, and the part Nina played in his parallel story, he’s forced to choose—stay with Viv or let her go—before the window closes between them once and for all.

I don’t really get the sci-fi feel from this cover but I still like it.  Emily Hainsworth is a Colorado author which makes me even more excited to read this one.

Title: What’s Left Of Me
Author: Kat Zhang
Release date: September 18, 2012

NEVER LET ME GO meets HIS DARK MATERIALS in a beautiful, haunting YA debut, the first book in The Hybrid Trilogy.

Eva and Addie live in a world where everyone is born with two souls, but where only the dominant one is allowed to survive childhood. Fifteen years old, and closer even than twins, the girls are keeping Eva, the ‘second soul’, a secret. They know that it’s forbidden to be hybrid, but how could they ever be apart?

When a dramatic event reveals what really happens to hybrids if they are discovered, Eva and Addie face a dangerous fight for survival, neither wanting to be the one left behind…

I wasn’t sure about this one at first but it’s grown on me and now I love it.  =)

Title: The Lost Girl
Author: Sangu Mandanna
Release date: August 28, 2012

Life can be stitched from scratch. The lost can be remade. And Eva, a teenage girl, is forced to choose between her world and the world of the girl she was created to replace.

I think this one might be my favorite.  I adore it.

  1. The cover of Ten is so eerie and awesome! I can’t wait to read it.
Glass Heart is SO pretty! I really like the cover of Cold Kiss so I’m glad the sequel matches it and is just as lovely.
I like that The Lost Girl has a girl silhouette on it instead of just a pretty girl in a dress.

  2. Have you read The Lost Girl? Everyone’s raving about it and I think the concept sounds intriguing.
