Wrecked Giveaway!

Thanks to the lovely people at Simon & Schuster and Big Honcho Media I have two copies of Wrecked by Anna Davies to giveaway!

Secrets of the sea have never been sexier than this.

Ever since the death of her parents, Miranda has lived on Whym Island, taking comfort in the local folklore, which claims a mysterious sea witch controls the fate of all on the island and in its surrounding waters. Sometimes it’s just easier to believe things are out of your control.

But then a terrible boating accident takes the lives of several of her friends, and Miranda is rescued by a mysterious boy who haunts her dreams. Consumed by guilt from the accident, she finds refuge in late-night swims—and meets Christian, a boy who seems eerily familiar, but who is full of mystery: He won’t tell her where he is from, or why they can only meet at the beach. But Miranda falls for him anyway…and discovers that Christian’s secrets, though meant to protect her, may bring her nothing but harm.

    1. Oooh! This one! I totally just commented, and TOTALLY forgot ALL about this book, which I’ve read more than once and TOTALLY love! Such a great one! 🙂

  1. I haven’t read *tons* of mermaid books. But I did really enjoy the Little Mermaid retelling in the Once Upon a Time series. It was just the perfect type of fun and different 🙂 (I think it was called Midnight Pearls…)

  2. I’ve thought about it, but I don’t think I’ve read any books about mermaids. I guess The Little Mermaid (the fairy tale) by Hans Christian Andersen is the closest I’ve come to it. If selkies count, then I like Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler. 🙂

  3. I have read Goddess of the Sea by P.C. Cast. I don’t think I have read any others, but i do have alot on my TBR pile.

  4. Under Sea’s Shadow It was part of the Final Dance series by Christie Golden. It is actually the only Mermaid tale that I have ever finished besides the little Mermaid. The only other Mermaid story I ever even started was Fortune’s Fool by Mercedes Lackey which is a retelling of little mermaid.

  5. I don’t have a favoite mermaid book yet. I haven’t read many and the ones I did read I didn’t really like. Hopefully Wrecked will be a favorite! Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. I have a ton of mermaid books that I really want to read, but the only one I’ve actually gotten through (besides some children’s books on The Little Mermaid) is Helen Dunmore’s Ingo. It’s officially called YA, but I would say it’s…upper MG. It was really cute, and the entire series is fantastic.
Thanks for hosting the giveaway =D

  7. I am not certain this counts since they were Sirens and not mermaids but I can’t think of a mermaid book. Siren by Tricia Rayburn is a great novel though!

  8. I’ve only ever read the little mermaid, so I’m pretty limited to what my favourite mermaid book is, but this one sounds awesome!

  9. Haven’t read any mermaid books but I have heard great things about A VICIOUS DEEP, OF POSEIDON, and LIES BENEATH (hello, “family of murderous mermaids”). Thanks for the giveaway!

  10. I actually haven’t read one yet, but there are at least 5 on my list right now! I love the concept of mermaids so I’m sure I’ll read all of them eventually! Thanks for the awesome giveaway, can’t wait to read this one too!

  11. I’ve only read one series that was about mermaids and it was the Fred series by MaryJanice Davidson. It was a really funny series!!

  12. Does my childhood favorite book count? The only mermaid book I have read before is Han Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid. That is my favorite mermaid book because till now I can still remember the ending, even if it wasn’t the ending I was expecting.

  13. Never read a mermaid book…. But that cover made me drool on myself… I know…. Don’t judge books by their covers and all that, but GEEZE! Two thumbs up!

  14. My favorite mermaid book, and admittedly the only I have ever read, is the ‘Two Moons of Sera’ novellas by Pavarti K. Tyler. Thanks for the chance!

  15. I would have to go with Tangled Tides by Karen A. Hooper. I don’t think I qualify for this giveaway because I’m Canadian but thought I would share the awesome book!

  16. nice giveaway!

I’ve actually only read one mermaid novel and did not enjoy it at all… so i guess I’m just gonna go with the little mermaid 🙂

  17. I’ve only read one other Mermaid book and that is Tempest Rising. I’ve been looking for another mermaid book to read, so I’m hoping this will be my new favorite! lol

Thank you for this awesome giveaway.
