Book Haul! (156)

Book Haul is a weekly feature here on Katie’s Book Blog. It is not something I created and I take no credit for it. Anyone who wants to participate can and you don’t necessarily have to call it a book haul. It is a list of what books you have received over the previous week, either for review, from the library, from the bookstore, or from trades.

For review:
Cuttlefish by Dave Freer
Deity (Covenant #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Forsaken (The Forsaken #1) by Lisa M. Stasse
This Is Not A Drill by Beck McDowell

  1. Nice books! The Forsaken is really good once it gets going – it has a wonderful twist that took me completely by surprise (which rarely happens)! Agreed about the spine, too 🙂

    Hope you enjoy everything, Katie!

  2. I’ve heard some great things about the forsaken as well but haven’t read it yet. As you were talking, i kept glancing back at your bookshelf… how… in the world… do you read so much!?! lol if i had that many books i would pull them all down and just swim in it… okay probably not, but still… lol i’d be happy 🙂 Great haul!

  3. I am DYING to read Deity. I can’t wait to see what you think of it. JLA is one of my favorite authors! I’ve already read The Forsaken. While the plot was really interesting, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would because I couldn’t connect with the characters. The plot and world-building was full of detail, but the emotions weren’t. Either way, I would still describe it as a cross between The Hunger Games, Lord of The Flies, and the tv show Lost. Stasse said a huge part of her inspiration was the tv show Lost anyway.

  4. You have got THE BEST BOOKS! Love them! You NEED to get a room ONLY for books and related… It’d be neater. BTW, I know what you should I with Diety! 😉 Giveaway! Another giveaway!

  5. I seriously need to pick up Half-Blood! I’ve heard such fantastic things about it, and everyone seems to love JLA. It will happen soon!! I’m super excited to read The Forsaken, I’ve heard some really great things about it! And that cover is so unique- it’s totally mesmerizing! 😉

    Fabulous haul Katie! <3
