Today I have an interview with the fantastic Shellie from Creative Reads!
What are you like outside of blogging?
I think I’m basically the same as I am when I’m blogging (with the exception of tons of curse words). I just started a new job (I know another one, but this is the one I was pinning for) so right now I’m focusing on learning the system to process loans. I’m an extremely hyper person at times and majority of my friends are you peeps online. I’m the type of person that will give someone the shirt off my back if they needed it; I sacrifice things for myself if someone else is in need of something. I love music and wish I was still 22 instead of 28. My brain has a billion things going on all at the same time so I’m constantly jumping from one subject to the next.
What made you decide to start your blog?
I had been stalking blogs for a long time and was talking to a lot of bloggers through IM or on Twitter and they kept encouraging me to start a blog so I finally took the dive and started it. Savannah (Books with Bite), Giselle (Xpresso Reads), Liza (Book Crook Liza), and Anna (Literary Exploration) were the main ones giving me the support to start my blog.
What is your best book blogging moment?
I have a lot. I absolutely love chatting with the authors through email or on Twitter. I guess the best would be when I was quoted in one of my favorite authors books (Jennifer Armentrout).
To help some of the newer bloggers: what have you found to be the best way to network and get your blog out there?
Comment on other blogs, Twitter, Facebook. I have a Google + but honestly haven’t updated it in forever…probably should do that now that I have thought about it. I really think that commenting on other blogs and getting to know other bloggers will get yours out there plus you make a ton of great friends.
What book turned you on to YA?
Twilight. I know, I know. I hadn’t read in years and at that point I was going through a very depressing stage of my life. My ex put the movie on and I watched New Moon right after that and had to get the books. I ended up reading all of them in under a week, I believe. Since then I’ve had a book, or my Nook, with me wherever I go.
How many books do you own?
Well…about that. The Post Office decided to lose a lot of them during my move to MA from FL so I’m getting some back every now and then when I can. I’m going to guess that I have around 100-125 physical books and maybe 200-250ish on my Nook.

-Book of all time: Do I have to choose one? I honestly can’t, I love them all.
-New release: Onyx by Jennifer Armentrout
-Genre: YA (Dystopians are my fav though)
-Place to Read: Relaxing on my bed. But, I will read anywhere given the chance.
-TV show: Hrm…it’s a toss between Criminal Minds, The Walking Dead and True Blood. Kinda leaning towards The Walking Dead at this moment though.
-Candy: All of it
-Song: Glycerin by Bush (On a side note, I love all my music and it’s uber hard to choose just one but this one holds something special to my heart, it always will)

What a nice review! 🙂 Relaxing on my is also one of my favorite places to read.
*relaxing on my bed.
Haha, half of the people that get interviewed on here say Twilight got them started on YA. You can say what you want about it, but you have to give it credit for getting people reading! I’m not a fan, but I love the author for that reason:)
And I adore your blog button by the way! It’s gorgeous!
It’s interesting to see how & why someone jumps into the world of blogging.
It’s great to read more about our favorite bloggers!
I’d never know she curses a lot, but I don’t mind it at all, not even in blogs, though I can see how some people might take offense!
She sounds like a wonderful person 🙂
