Book Haul (157)

Book Haul is a weekly feature here on Katie’s Book Blog. It is not something I created and I take no credit for it. Anyone who wants to participate can and you don’t necessarily have to call it a book haul. It is a list of what books you have received over the previous week, either for review, from the library, from the bookstore, or from trades.

  1. I would not have pegged The Innocents as a gothic mystery from the cover! Looks like a contemp to me! Curious about Fury’s Fire—I wanted to read the first book but never got around to it!

  2. Great haul! 🙂 The Boy Recession DOES look super cute but the problem is I hate chick lit. Don’t hit me, I can’t help it! It always comes across too cheesy to me sometimes 🙁 But great haul I hope you enjoy them all!

  3. Great books! I really need to start reading that Pittacus Lore series … I won the first one from HarperCollins Canada — I’ll have to read it SOON! 🙂

Enjoy all your books! Glad you’re doing well on your book buying ban … I always do terrible!

  4. Great book haul, but The Innocents is the only one I’d take. And…this week (note: I’m slower than you fast girl. I read 3 books a week.) I got TLG #4 Hide and Seek, Keesha’s House, and Survive.

  5. Really looking forward to The Innocents and Fury’s Fire, I love Mermaid books! Super great that you are doing good on your book buying ban, I am trying not to buy any either but caved because I wanted to buy Skylark lol. I know 4 books seems like a lot but I bet when you are used to getting way more every week it feels like you didn’t get much. I hope you enjoy your books! Have a wonderful Sunday!

  6. How do you maintain that self-control? If I had the guap to throw down on the books I wanted, I WOULDN’T STOP. I seriously hope I’ll be able to stop. But, I applaud you on your admirable restraint.

And, oh my sweet boys, THE BOY RECESSION! I’ve been dying to see if this book reads as cute as it looks. Can’t wait to read your thoughts on it!

  7. I haven’t read the Pittacus Lore books, mostly because I don’t like the scandal behind them in terms of the company that produced it and the author they hired.

    Lovely blog 🙂
