July Wrap-Up + August TBR!

So I will admit that I took a break from YA this month and read quite a few adults books.  I won’t list those here but I think I read about 8.  On top of that, here are the YA books I managed to read.

-You Are Not Here by Samantha Schutz
-The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride #1) by James Patterson
-School’s Out – Forever (Maximum Ride #2) by James Patterson
-Saving The World & Other Extreme Sports (Maximum Ride #3) by James Patterson
-The Final Warning (Maximum Ride #4) by James Patterson
-Max (Maximum Ride #5) by James Patterson
-Fang (Maximum Ride #6) by James Patterson
-Angel (Maximum Ride #7) by James Patterson
-Don’t Breathe A Word by Holly Cupala
-Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry
-Rebel Heart (Dust Lands #2) by Moira Young
-City Of Lost Souls (Mortal Instruments #5) by Cassandra Clare
-Babe In Boyland by Jody Gehrman
-Eve (Eve #1) by Anna Carey
-Once (Eve #2) by Anna Carey
-Shadowcry (Wintercraft #1) by Jenna Burtenshaw
-Mothership (Ever-Expanding Universe #1) by Martin Leicht & Isla Neal
-Wicked Girls by Stephanie Hemphill

I’m pretty happy with the number of books I read in July.  I’m hoping I can manage to read that many in August too!

Now for my August TBR.  I’m trying something a little different this month.  I’ve picked at least one book from all the major publishers, two older releases, and one book that won’t be out for a little while (and I consider a little while a couple months.)

-Auracle by Gina Rosatti (Macmillan)
-False Memory by Dan Krokos (Hyperion)
-Kissing Shakespeare by Pamela Mingle (Random House)

-The Dark Unwinding by Sharon Cameron (Scholastic)
-The Waiting Sky by Lara Zielin (Penguin)

As for your August TBR, I’m a little jealous! lol I can’t wait for The Waiting Sky, The Dark Light, Auracle, Over You, Skylark, and Beautiful Lies! You are one lucky reviewer.

  2. You read a ton of books this past month! I really need to continue on with the Mortal Instruments books … I’ve read the first three AND listened to the audiobooks, AND I have the next two books in the series, but I just haven’t gotten there yet.

  4. I liked Anna Carey’s dystopian books. I know lots of people thought they were contrived, but I enjoyed them 🙂
