September Wrap-Up!

September was a really terrible reading month for me.  I barely read anything and I don’t even have an excuse.  I just didn’t feel like reading and so I didn’t.  However, I still managed to read a few books.

-Beautiful Lies by Jessica Warman
-Ten by Gretchen McNeil
-Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer
-Alice In Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles #1) by Gena Showalter
-Nevermore (Maximum Ride #8) by James Patterson
-Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling (re-read)
-Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (re-read)
-Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling (re-read)
-Surviving High School by M. Doty
-Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout
-Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook
-The Wide-Awake Princess by E.D. Baker

Okay, after typing this list, I realize I read more than I thought I did but still not enough.  For the month of October I am going to give myself a freebie and read whatever I want.  I don’t do that nearly enough anymore.

Any books you would recommend I read in October?

  1. I thought my 7 wasn’t enough! I’d definitely settle for 12 😛 I had a really bad reading month for Sept too. I just wasn’t interested, couldn’t concentrate. I actually had about 3 books I put on my DNF list. :/ Kind of discouraging.

  2. That is a pretty good list! I really liked The Wide-Awake Princess and Cinder! I keep seeing this Alice in Zombieland book. I’m going to have to check it out!

  3. This list is definitely not that bad! 😀 What’s Left of Me by Kat Zhang came out last month (September) so I’m really excited to read it!

I keep seeing Alice in Zombieland everywhere so I’m curious to see what it’s all about!

    Crazy Red Pen

  4. Looking at your reviews, I noticed you didn’t finish the tigers curse series. You should get on that because they’re reads that make you feel happy afterwards. It might help get you out of your reading funk.

  5. Katie, that was at least 12 books for one month. Averages out to three books a week, that’s not bad. Especially if you do other things besides reading all day, like work, sleep, have children, take care of children, live a life, etc.

I’ve been averaging 1.2 books a week, sometimes even less. Now I feel uninspired, 😉

ah well, sometimes the reading is there, and sometimes it’s not. 🙂

So – how did you like Cinder? I’ve been wanting to read that as well as the other cinderella book – the scifi cyborg Cinderella (can’t remember the name)

  6. It actually makes me feel better about my poor reading month to see your list-I just didn’t feel like reading (largely because the books I was reading weren’t very exciting) so I didn’t. This month I signed up for a page count challenge, which will hopefully spur me to read more for October.

  7. It’s awesome you reread Harry Potter! The charm of this series never gets old, and you keep noticing new elements you missed earlier!
