Today I have the wonderful Kailia from Reading the Best of the Best! Her blog is one that I have followed for quite some time and I love her reviews!
What are you like outside of blogging?
When you see me in a crowd, I look really quiet and shy. I’m usually like this when I’m new somewhere or I know no one. When I’m with my friends though, I am really crazy! I tend to be a very happy person so I’m always laughing or dancing or moving. I hate silence unless I’m sleeping or in a bad mood so I’ve always got music or I’m talking!
What made you decide to start your blog?
I decided to blog after about 5 months after discovering my book blog. I love to talk about books and I loved to write so being able to put all of those things together was great! I wasn’t sure how to blog and I had no idea what HTML was!
What is your best book blogging moment?
I have no idea! Maybe it’s when I got my first ARC or when I got on a mailing list for one of my favorite publishers!
To help some of the newer bloggers: what have you found to be the best way to network and get your blog out there?
Twitter, hands down! I got my Twitter when it first came around and it was pretty new but I didn’t start tweeting regularly until this past year! Twitting your post at least 5-6 times a day can be great because people can follow well over 100 people and sometimes Tweets can get lost!
What book turned you on to YA?
I’ve always been a reader and I actually started reading YA when I wasn’t a YA yet. The librarian at my elementary school knew me and she knew that I read well above my actual grade so she’d hand me loads of books. I read pretty much anything that sounded good!
How many books do you own?
I think about 300 that I am keeping. I don’t know for sure but last time I counted I had about 300. This is after, I might add, I decided to get rid of about 150 books.

You guys can find Kailia at Reading the Best of the Best and on Twitter!
Kailia, I checked out your blog and thought I’d comment that it seems to have great content, at least from what I saw. Thanks for introducing it to me, Katie:)
Ah, the advice about twitter is very good. I need to be better about tweeting my posts more frequently.
Kailia, I LOVE YOU! Seriously, we need to meet! Gosh, I had to keep scrolling back up to make sure Katie was interviewing YOU and not ME because I am the same way! I’m really shy when meeting new people, crazy with my friends, I have to have music or sound around, I prefer chocolate to candy any day, and like you, I listen to music in two languages so it’s hard to find a favorite song. Only differences are that I don’t watch as much TV as you and I have a considerably smaller stack of books – mostly because I’m constantly donating the ones I don’t like. 😉 Anyway, amazing interview Katie and lovely answers, Kailia! (Also, thanks for liking to my blog, dear!) 😀
I find Twitter to be a great way to network, too. I am such a Twitter addict!

I now have another blog to visit thank you. I love book blogs.
Great interview! 😀
Thank for having me Katie! Thanks everyone!
I too find Twitter hard because you’re limited in characters, but if you’re witty or funny it’s the perfect social media site.
