April TBR!

stack of books

I haven’t posted a TBR in a long time and that’s pretty much because I have been failing at reading.  Seriously, I can’t tell you guys how far behind I already am with my Goodreads challenge for the year.  And it’s only 4 months in!  However, things are about to change!

My goal for April is to read a ridiculous amount of books.  Want to know what they are?  Here you go!

Currently reading:
-Dreams of Gods and Monsters (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #3) by Laini Taylor
-The Geography Of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith
-Finding It (Losing It #3) by Cora Carmack
-Red Seas Under Red Skies (Gentleman Bastard #2) by Scott Lynch

I’m also slowly making my way through Enthralled which is a collection of short stories.

What I hope to read:
-The Secrets of Lily Graves by Sarah Strohmeyer
-After The End by Amy Plum
-Sleep No More by Aprilynne Pike
-Sweet Reckoning (Sweet Trilogy #3) by Wendy Higgins
-The Taking by Kimberly Derting
-Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman
-To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
-Don’t Look Back by Jennifer Armentrout
-What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick
-Sea of Shadows (Sea of Shadows #1) by Kelley Armstrong
-Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die #1) by Danielle Paige
-The Ring and the Crown by Melissa de la Cruz
-Sekret by Lindsay Smith
-The King (BDB #12) by J.R. Ward
-Ask Again Later by Liz Czukas
-Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker
-The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima
-Something Real by Heather Demetrios
-Shout Down The Moon by Lisa Tucker
-Gilded Ashes by Rosamund Hodge
-Hexed by Michelle Krys
-Rites of Passage by Joy N. Hensley

So I only just now realized that there is an abundance of HarperTeen books on this list. Oh well. They always publish really good books so of course they are on my TBR. =P

What are you planning to read in April? And which book on my TBR do you think I should read first?

  1. I read “Something Real” a couple weeks back and it was really cute. I definitely think you’ll like it and if you don’t, don’t blame me! There’s a lot of these I want to read. I’ve got “The Ring and the Crown” on my counter right now along with “The Winner’s Curse” and an SLJ review book I have to keep secret until the magazine is out. Happy reading!

  2. You’ve got lots of awesome books on that list – I’m sure a few of them will become a favorite of your for the year.

I read Something Real and it was AWESOME!! It was such a unique concept and the characters were very likable and relatable. If you like sibling stories, you’ll love this and the boy she loves is one I fell for completely!

I’m looking forward to reading Jennifer Armentrout’s Don’t Look Back because I read a few excerpts online and they’re so good, and of course it’s Jennifer ARmentrout 🙂

  3. What a great idea for a post! Gets you organized and on track for the month while also letting everyone know what you’re looking forward to reading and maybe they might be interested in as well! I can honestly say that Melissa De La Cruz’s book THE RING & THE CROWN is one of the best books I’ve read thus far this year and all the thought and research and creativity that went into it is well worth the wait! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Also THE KING by JR Ward SO PUMPED for 😀 great list of books this month, I hope you enjoy all of them!

  4. Wow! 22 books… I thought I was crazy was 15! Now I don’t feel so bad 🙂 I haven’t read any of the books on your TBR, but I have a lot of them on my TBR eventually list! This month some of the books I’m reading are Brother’s Karamazov, S, Night Film and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Good luck finishing your TBR!

  5. I’m curious how you like the Cora Carmack book. I have not read any of hers, and have tried a handful of New Adult books with very mixed results. I really liked Tammara Webber’s Easy which blended some great themes of women standing strong against sexual assault and navigating expected attitudes when that happens in a college setting. Just wondering how her books compare to others in that genre. 🙂

  6. I’ve read Don’t Look Back by Jennifer Armentrout, and I thought it was great! I’m excited to read a few others on your list as well: Geography of You and Me; Dorothy Must Die; and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before stand out specifically.

  7. Wow that is quite the list. I am currently reading The King and it is good so I hope you are able to get to that book.
    Good luck!

  8. Wow, awesome list! I recommend you rad The Demon King , I finished it only last week and it was mind blowing! Curious to see how well you’ll like The Ring and the Crown and Dorothy must Die.
