First off, thanks to everyone who has signed up for the book blogger summer reading program. I’m really excited to host it!
My personal goal is to read 50 books from May 1 to September 1. I know it’s probably pushing it but I’m really going to try because I’m already behind on my Goodreads goal for the year and this would help me get caught up. If you want to keep track of what books I’m reading and what progress I’m making, you can check out my book blogger summer reading program shelf on my Goodreads page. You can also join the Goodreads group that I created and create a challenge to help you keep track of your progress!
If you haven’t already signed up, there is still time. Head over to the introduction post and link up your blog/Goodreads shelf!
Check out the first giveaway and good luck with your summer reading!
I’m signed up! 🙂 Already finished up one book, that I’ve been listening to for a few days but finished up today. My goal for May 1 – Sept 1 is 75 books. Shouldn’t be too hard for me, if I stay away from my video games. 🙂
That is awesome!! What genres?
Wow! 75 books is an awesome goal. Mine is 60 🙂
I’m signed up–love this idea! My goal is 40. I need to finish my assigned awards committee reads & cram in as much fun reading as I can before my baby arrives at the end of August! Thanks for hosting.
I love this idea! I personally set my goal for 25 books, even though I’d like to read as many as 40, because I have a ton of plans for the Summer. Thanks for coming up with such a fun idea!
I signed up in the linky and my goal is to read 15 books this summer.
I’m super excited about this challenge, you’re awesome! If you have time, you should make an icon or something so people can put it on their blogs or something… if you have time. I know a book blogger’s schedule is crazy. Anyways, thanks for hosting this reading challenge!
My goal is 20 books! Thank you for hosting such a great event! I never really got the chance to participate in the Summer Reading Program while I was at school.
Oooh! I hadn’t heard about this, but I’m totally going to sign up now that I’ve seen this post. I’ll probably be making my sign up post and posting it this Saturday. I’m not sure how many books I should challenge myself to read, though. I think I’ll probably settle on 15? I’m a slow reader so I don’t even know if I’ll be able to meet that goal. But, who knows!? Maybe I’ll surprise myself. Great idea for this and thanks for hosting the challenge! I’m really excited about it!
Signed up! Just 20 books but if I read any faster, I’ll increase it. Woo, so excited!
I’m signed up! I set myself a goal of 10 books, which isn’t a whole lot, but I’ve been in-and-out of reading slumps for the past couple months. I figured I would aim low, and then increase my goal if all goes well. I made a list of all the books that have been on my shelf since before today, so that way I can focus on those specific books for the challenge. Kicking things off with Going Bovine by Libba Bray, which has been on my shelf for AT LEAST a year and a half. Oops!
I just signed up for the program today and I am behind excited. Thanks for hosting this awesome challenge! My goal is to read 35 books. I’m hoping to read even more, but we shall see. Good luck with hitting 50! I set my goal with my 2014 goodreads challenge in mind as well.
I’m reading 25 books this summer!
I signed up! My goal is 40, even though I know I can read much more than that. Although I’m hoping to have a full-time job this summer, so I want to be safe.
I am signed up and excited. My goal is small of 15 books. I am behind on my goodreads goal for 2014 too. Good luck with your summer reading challenge. 🙂
My goal is to read 16 books, but I might up it latter on if I read faster! Thus far, it has been the the best reading year for me 😀

I only put 5 books but I’ll try to add if I see it’s feasible!
Such a cute idea, Katie! I signed up yesterday and I set my goal at 15 books. It’s not a lot a lot, but I’m in a wedding over the summer and I’m planning my own so I have a feeling I’m not going to be reading as much as I’d like.
I signed up! My goal is 50 books, but I think that the goal will get upped.
I signed up! My goal is 23 books, but I am hoping I can go even beyond that.
Excited to be joining in!
Oops, forgot to add-my goal is at least 40 books for the challenge 🙂
I’m really excited for this! I joined the group on Goodreads to help track my progress and keep me motivated. Thanks for hosting this!
I’m signed up and hoping to read 25 books this summer. That might be pushing it a bit for me, but we will see. I’m almost finished with my first novel for the challenge.
My summer reading goal is also 50! I am actually ahead of schedule on my Goodreads challenge (surprisingly), but this summer is all about enjoyment for me! I’m focusing on shedding the weight I’ve gained recently, immersing myself more into my book blog and into the blogosphere, reading all the books I’ve been putting off and cleaning out my Kindle!
I just made my intro post and have already read one book and am halfway through another! My goal is 60 books this summer!
i signed up!
my reading goal is definitely around 20 books! its not a lot but i have exams to revise for
My goal is 40 books!
I signed up with a goodreads shelf (I’d link but goodreads has been down practically all day). My goal is 75 books from May 1 – September 1.
I signed up, book count is 50, I have about 46 on my TBR and I know I will be getting more books during the summer.
I am all signed up and my goal it to read 30 books. Hopefully I can do more.
My goal is at least 30 books
I signed up, but haven’t posted my goal yet because I went to and Goodreads was down… :'( I have to see my visual shelf to make a goal.
I signed up to read 40 books for the summer! Hopefully with this program I can be more consistent with my reading during the lazy days of summer.
Thanks for hosting. I’ve got a great lineup of books waiting.
I love this challenge–my goal is 35 books. Thanks so much for running it!
I signed up, and am so excited! My goal is 20, which is probably a bit lenient… but summer is super busy! Thanks for the fun program!
This is such a brilliant idea! I’ve signed up with 13 books, all of them new releases that I’m dying to read!!
Thanks for hosting this awesome challenge!
I’m really excited about this event. My goal is 17 books which seems realistic for me but kudos to everyone who is doing a buttload more. Good luck everyone!
I just entered. I am so excited. My reading goal is 30 books. I really hope that I am able to complete it. Thank you for hosting such an awesome event! 😀
My reading goal is 35 books. I’ll hopefully end up reading more, but with how busy life gets, it seems like a realistic goal!
Thank you for setting up this program! 🙂
Great idea!
I’m so excited for this reading program! Like really excited. Especially because I got behind on my reading goal due to being stressed with school. Thank you so much for this :DD
My Summer reading goal can be found here: Summer Reading
I just signed up and my goal is 25 books. A little low for me but I might have to move this summer which means putting all of my pretty books away in boxes for a little while so who knows how much reading I will get done.
Great program!
Just joined the Goodreads group, yay! I set my goal for 35, I hope I can do it 🙂
Wow, fifty books. I’m impressed. I’m going to push for 30 before September. My bookshelves and Kindle are getting ridiculously full!!
I signed up. My goal is going to be 20 books. Last year I read about 15 without even trying, and I know that this year I’ll be busy. I don’t want to put TOO much pressure on myself, but I still want to read more than I did last year.
Looking forward to the challenge! I’m behind in my 2014 Goodreads challenge, so I’m hoping this will help me catch up.
I signed up, too. My goal is 50 books and at least 40 of them in English, which will be really hard, because I’m not very fast at reading English yet.
My goal is 100 books by the end of 2014. I know it’s a lot, but it’s an awesome challenge!
I signed up too! I know I know, I am a little late to the party, but I only just found out about it! I set myself a goal of 25 books for the summer. Partly because I am really behind on review books but was afraid if I went higher I would burn myself out.
Signed up! My reading goal is also 50 books! gotta get that unread pile done! 😀
I’m so excited to be participating in this challenge! I set my summer reading goal at 30 book. I’m really hoping to make it! Thanks for hosting this challenge and for the awesome giveaway!
I take part every year with a goal of 100 books:)
Just joined but just have read 2 of the books!
This is so cool! My goal is to read 30 books for the summer to make up for the lost reading time when I’m in the Uni. Anyway thanks for the giveaway! 🙂
