A journey may take hundreds of miles, or it may cover the distance between duty and desire.

Sixteen of today’s hottest writers of paranormal tales weave stories on a common theme of journeying. Authors such as Kelley Armstrong, Rachel Caine, and Melissa Marr return to the beloved worlds of their bestselling series, while others, like Claudia Gray, Kami Garcia, and Margaret Stohl, create new land-scapes and characters. But whether they’re writing about vampires, faeries, angels, or other magical beings, each author explores the strength and resilience of the human heart.

Suspenseful, funny, or romantic, the stories in Enthralled will leave you moved.

picadillyblueWhen I read Skin Contact I had no idea it was part of The Body Finder series.  I figured I should start my review with that since I think if I was caught up with the series I would have liked this one more and understood things a little better.  As it was it was an enjoyable read, it just seemed a little underdeveloped.

Skin Contact is the story of Rafe, a guy who shares similar abilities as Violet from The Body Finder.  In Skin Contact he races against the clock to save the girl he’s in love with as well as her family.  The story is short but it will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.  Rafe is easy to connect to and easy to like.  While I felt like I was missing a lot of his background, I had no problem with him as a main character and I had no problem connecting with him emotionally.  Skin Contact may be short but it’s full of emotion and action.

It’s really hard to review Skin Contact without giving things away.  There is a bit of mystery surrounding the story.  I spent the whole time reading wondering if Rafe was going to make it in time to save his girlfriend and her family.  All I’ll say is that it’s pulse-pounding from beginning to end.

Overall, Skin Contact will be a great read for anyone who has read The Body Finder series.  Kimberly Derting does not disappoint with this short story.

I liked this anthology. And I think I remember liking this short story. Rafe is interesting.

I need to finish reading The Body Finder series. And well, pretty much finish reading ALL THE SERIESes.
