Today I have an interview with Brittany from Please Feed the Bookworm! Don’t you just love that blog name?
First up, tell us a little about your blog! What do you review, do you have any co-reviewers, etc.
Hi there! My blog Please Feed the Bookworm reviews pretty all Young adult books. I tend to lean heavily toward fantasy and retellings are my absolute favorite. I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to broaden my horizons by branching out to other genres such as contemporaries and the like so we’ll see where that takes me. I don’t want to miss out on any good books no matter what genre they are in.
What are some of your favorite things to do? (Other than blogging and reading, of course!)
My favorite thing to do would be to entertain my 3 year old son. He is a handful but in the best way. I also really love to cook and bake so I’m always looking for new recipes to try. I also collect little figures, mostly dragons, but anything mythical really. Yes, I have like 4 of Julie Kagawa’s dragon figurines and I love them to bits.
What made you decide to start your blog?
I really liked the idea of sharing my thoughts on what I read with someone else who would benefit from it. I found some bad reviews; bad as in “this author makes to much money” or ” hate it” and thought “well that’s not very helpful”, so I decided then and there that I wanted to be helpful in case someone like me had the exact same problem.
What is your best book blogging moment?
Meeting Sarah J Maas!! She is one of my favorite authors and I was so nervous but she was a sweetheart.
What book turned you on to YA?
The Infernal Devices series by Cassie Clare was really the one that cemented me in. I had been drifting around it with The Hunger Games and the Twilight series but I wasn’t totally sold until I met my beloved Tessa, Will, and Jem.
How many books do you own?
Hmmm I do prefer e books since I mostly read at night so let’s see only 73 “real” books and about 492 E-books. I wonder if my kindle can ever be filled. I hope not.
What are some blogs you recommend reading?
There are so many good ones but ones I completely rely on for recommendations are Kristen from My Friends Are Fiction and the lovelies at The Midnight Garden. Every book they have recommended has been spot on for me.
If you could meet any author, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I think I would like to meet Dr. Suess. His book have some pretty amazing messages in them and I think he is brilliant man.

Awwww… Britter, I thought you were going to dish some juicy stuff. Lol. All kidding aside, Brittany really earns her reading time, and I am happy she shares her love (and sometimes hate) of books with us. 🙂
