Etsy Obsessions #1 | Pivot Book Totes

I’m a crafty person but nothing I make ends up being something someone else wants.  Let’s just say an Etsy shop is not in my future.  However, that does not mean I’m not super proud of all my fellow booklovers for their talent in designing and creating wonderful items that I need in my life.

Being a book lover, I adore all things bookish: buttons, totes, jewelry, posters, etc.  Etsy, therefore, is my downfall (and the downfall of my bank account.) Over time I’ve found a ton of stores that I love, mainly because they consistently have awesome book-related products.  Since I can’t buy everything, I decided I’d share some of my favorite shops with you guys so that maybe you could purchase things instead and I can live vicariously through you guys.

Not only does Pivot Book Totes sell amazing,  hand painted tote bags, it also happens to be run by another YA blogger.  Becca from Pivot Book Reviews/Reading Teen is extremely talented.  Her shop features a ton of tote bags and she is also open to custom orders.  I’m currently in the process of figuring out what I would order but a custom tote is definitely in my future.

Here are some of my favorite totes that are currently for sale in her Etsy shop.

Who wouldn’t want a Lola and the Boy Next Door tote?  I love the quote featured and the simplicity of the design.

il_570xN.636863584_8e1pWhile I definitely wouldn’t mind a tote bag with a quote about Cricket Bell, this one just appeals to me a bit more.  Fangirl is one of my favorite books and I relate to Cath so much.  Now where can I get myself a Levi?

il_570xN.756624401_r2yvLast but not least is this one.  I actually have this one and it is so perfect!  My friends all love it and make fun of me a bit for having it.  The colors are some of my favorites and I don’t care if the world knows I’m a book nerd.

Have you bought any totes from Pivot Book Totes?  Did you get a custom order?  If you had to pick just one book to get a custom tote for, which would it be?

  1. Katie, I LOVE THIS NEW FEATURE. I haven’t really been a big Etsy person in the past, but I LOVE these totes so much. Seriously, a couple days ago I was muttering about how I didn’t have enough totes in the house when I needed them. I am in lovee with the quote ones, but the last one is adorable too! The colors are definitely great. 🙂

I’m totally looking into her custom orders omg. I never bought myself a birthday present this year, so um, this totally might be it. I’m thinking I’ll get a quote (or a collection of them maybe??) from The Darkest Minds, probably: Let’s carpe the hell out of this diem (love that quote!!).

Thanks so much for introducing Pivot Book Totes to me, Katie! <33

  2. Like Aneeqah said, I LOVE this new feature idea. I’m so obsessed with Etsy. I wish I had all the money to buy whatever I wanted. I also wish I was talented enough to have my own Etsy shop. I really like tote bags – I think if I had a custom tote made, I’d use a quote from Perks of Being a Wallflower because that book has SO many quotes I love.
