Monthly Wrap-Up | March 2025

in real life

I’m not sure why I even include this section in my wrap-up because it’s always a lot of the same; absolutely nothing. I worked, I read, I hung out with my dog.

in books

Out of Sight by Giana Darling – This is a newsletter exclusive from Giana Darling and is a prequel to the Fallen Men series. It’s short but really good.

These Pucking Boys: Part One by Michelle Hercules and These Pucking Boys: Part Two by Michelle Hercules – An Instagram ad got me for these two. I admit, they were extremely entertaining but also extremely ridiculous.

Drive by Kate Stewart – I had this one from Kindle Unlimited for months so I decided to finally give it a try. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t really good either.

A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOTAR #2) by Sarah J. Maas (re-read) – Almost 10 years later and it’s still so damn good.

Four Psychos (The Dark Side #1) by Kristy Cunning – Another Kindle Unlimited pick and I have no idea how I even found this one. I liked it. I don’t know that the series needed to be split into 4 books as each was only a little over 100 pages but that’s beside the point.

Three Trials (The Dark Side #2) by Kristy Cunning – Still enjoyable.

Two Kingdoms (The Dark Side #3) by Kristy Cunning – Starting to be less enjoyable.

One Apocalypse (The Dark Side #4) by Kristy Cunning – Hated how it ended.

Runaway Road by Devney Perry – I’m trying to make my way through Devney Perry’s backlist this year and the Runaways series is up next. This one was short and sweet but really cute.

As Good As Dead (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder #3) by Holly Jackson – I finally finished the trilogy. This was a lot darker than the previous books and it took me a while to get through but I’m glad I did.

Kill Joy (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder #0.5) by Holly Jackson – I went back and read the prequel after finishing the series. If you’re going to read this series, you should start with this prequel. It’s a great intro to the characters.

Wicked Pursuit (Black Rose Auction #1) by Katee Robert – A very wicked novella. Mostly smut but some plot. I liked it.

Story of My Life (Story Lake #1) by Lucy Score – Lucy Score can do no wrong for me. I loved this one and I’m already eagerly awaiting the sequel.

The Lady He Lost (The Lucky Ladies of London #1) by Faye Delacour – I was in the mood for a historical romance and decided to pick this one up. I liked it though it’s not a favorite of mine.

Leave Me Behind by K.M. Moronova – I’m trying to be better with my subscription box books and this was the March Probably Smut pick. It was unique and entertaining.

Ties That Bind Us by Nicole Knight – I was in the mood for a mafia romance and this one caught my eye. Another quick read that didn’t have much substance.

The Knight and the Butcherbird by Alix E. Harrow – Review is posted for this one. I adored it. Highly recommend.

Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires #1) by Rachel Caine – I’m also trying to be better about reading books I’ve had for years. This came out in 2006 and I’ve probably had it on my shelf for 10 years. It’s more on the younger side of YA but I did enjoy it enough to continue the series.

The Mick – I’m sad this got cancelled but I can see why it did. The first season was hilarious. The second season tried a little too hard to be funnier than the first. It ended up coming across rather ridiculous. I’m glad I watched it and I’ll probably re-watch certain episodes but I see why it wasn’t renewed.Wicked – I can’t believe I actually waited this long to watch this. I adored everything about it. I’m so ready for the second part but I’m also not ready at all. This one already broke my heart. I can’t even imagine what part two is going to do to me.

How was your March? Did you read anything you can’t stop recommending? What have you been watching? Leave me all of your recommendations in the comments!
