Clarity “Clare” Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch a certain object, and the visions come to her. It’s a gift.
And a curse.
When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare’s ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case–but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare’s brother–who has supernatural gifts of his own–becomes the prime suspect, and Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?
Wow! I’m speechless. Clarity was so much more than I expected and I’m still going over everything in my head. This is definitely a new favorite of mine.
Clarity “Clare” Fern knows she comes from a long line of freaks. She also knows that her freakish power entertains tourists. That’s all she’s ever really used it for. When a young tourist is murdered Clare finally finds another use for her talent. By helping the police find the killer she can not only prove the power of psychics but also get close to new boy in town, Gabriel. Oh and maybe try to stop hating her ex, Justin.
Clarity is amazing! I loved every aspect of this book. I don’t even know where to start. I loved the characters and the writing but it was definitely the story itself that kept me reading. I loved the suspense! Clarity is a YA suspense done right!
Clare was awesome. She was strong, brave, smart, funny, and loyal. The perfect heroine, pretty much. This is the kind of girl teens need as a role model, not Bella Swan. Clare took control and I loved that about her but I also loved her vulnerable side. It was nice to see more than one part of her.
Overall, just go out and buy Clarity. Kim Harrington is one debut author I will be checking out in the future. I can’t wait for the sequel to Clarity and whatever else she has planned!
First line: “You don’t want to kill me,” I said.

Next time though, I’m getting it.

This book sounds like it will be a great read. I really enjoyed Alane Ferguson’s Forensic Mysteries series, and Clarity sounds like it will right up my ally.
Thanks again for writing such in depth and thoughtful reviews.
