January Wrap-up!

I really slacked off in January.  I had all these great plans to read a ton of books and that totally didn’t happen.  With ALA, school, and work, I just didn’t have the time.  Here are the books I did manage to read.

Salvation by Anne Osterlund
Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Summerset Abbey by T.J. Brown
Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger (favorite)
Wolf Pact by Melissa de la Cruz
Altered by Jennifer Rush (favorite)
Gates of Paradise (Blue Bloods #7) by Melissa de la Cruz
Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky #2) by Veronica Rossi
Bloodlines (Bloodlines #1) by Richelle Mead
The Golden Lily (Bloodlines #2) by Richelle Mead
The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines #3) by Richelle Mead
Boundless (Unearthly #3) by Cynthia Hand

In the end, I read 12 books and that’s actually not as bad as I thought especially since Game of Thrones was over 800 pages.

Also, I usually forget about my challenges so this year I am going to try something different.  At the beginning of each month I will post my progress from the month before.  Hopefully this will help me remember.

  1. Wow you read some awesome stuff recently! I’m really doing any challenges this year so far except for te Sara Dessan one that is being held at I eat words, and the contemp challenge, and so far I don’t think I have done anything for either. It’s harder to do challenges in Janurary because all of the 2013books are super recent and we don’t necessarily have any new ones to read. I hope to do better in the coming months!

  2. ooh so happy Etiquette & Espionage is a favorite of yours! I am starting it right now and I was a bit scared of it being steampunk (don’t have the best record with it!) and yes, Altered was great!. I only managed to read 10 books but I had exams up to the 16th of January then moved countries so I also think I did great 🙂

  3. Great wrap up – I finished 8 books this month. Considering all the trainings and other stuff I’ve done this month, I’m very surprised.

I love all the challenges you are participating in! I’m doing a year long ABC challenge with book titles and a year long 50 states challenge, as well. Trying to read a book that takes place in each state. AND my main goal this year is to read 100 books.

Out of all the books you read this month, I’ve only read GOT. I’m reading the second one right now (:

  4. You did amazing! I only managed to read 7 books, so need to catch up in February. I like your idea of posting your challenge progress every month so you don’t forget about them! Hope you have a great February!
