An apology and a question!

So, if you guys didn’t notice, I kind of failed at blogging last year.  Not only that, I majorly failed at hosting the contemporary challenge.  I’m so sorry for that.  Life got in the way of blogging and I just couldn’t keep up.  My focus really had to be on other things for a little while.  Life has calmed down again and while I expect it to be a little crazy again once I’m back in school for the semester, I do finally have some time to read and blog.

My question for you guys is this: do you want me to attempt to host the contemporary challenge again?  Contemporary is my favorite genre and I truly believe that there should be a contemporary challenge.  I just don’t know if I’m the right person to host it.  If someone would like to cohost with me, that would be awesome.  Or if someone just wants to completely take it over, I wouldn’t necessarily be against that.  I just don’t think I can do it completely on my own.
Let me know what you guys think of this.  I hope all you contemporary readers still managed to complete the challenge last year and I hope you plan on reading lots of contemporary this year, even if there isn’t a challenge.

  1. Contemporary is definitely one of my favorite genres as well! If you need a co-host to help with the business feel free to contact me! I, and the blog, would love to help 🙂

  2. I’d love to cohost with you if you need it. I surprised myself with how many contemporaries I read last year and would love to help in any way, even if that’s just creating a button or help organizing 🙂

  3. I love this challenge, and had actually been checking to see if you were planning to do it again. 🙂 I definitely want to participate in it!

  4. I’ve never participated in your challenge (for me, reading contemporary isn’t a challenge. It’s my favourite!), I think it’s a great way to get others reading the genre. So if you need any help or a co-host (what would that entail?), I’d be happy to help. I kinda failed at blogging and reading last year so you’re not alone there. Oh well, a new year!

  5. I’d really love a contemporary challenge, but with a difference: it’d be great if all YA contemporaries could count for the challenge, not only the ones published in 2014.

  6. It makes me so sad when bloggers apologize for not blogging enough or not doing enough. You guys do so much, put so much time in your blogs for us readers to learn more about books we might like, and you do it all without pay, just out of love for books and authors. Please don’t apologize! Just keep reading and posting whenever you can 🙂
