Summary:Welcome to the Here and Now.
Riley Bloom left her sister, Ever, in the world of the living and crossed the bridge into the afterlife—a place called Here, where time is always Now. Riley and her dog, Buttercup, have been reunited with her parents and are just settling into a nice, relaxing death when she’s summoned before The Council. They let her in on a secret—the afterlife isn’t just an eternity of leisure; Riley has to work. She’s been assigned a job, Soul Catcher, and a teacher, Bodhi, a curious boy she can’t quite figure out.
Riley, Bodhi, and Buttercup return to earth for her first assignment, a Radiant Boy who’s been haunting a castle in England for centuries. Many Soul Catchers have tried to get him to cross the bridge and failed. But he’s never met Riley…
My reasons for wanting to read this:
1-I have read the Immortals series and I loved Riley. She wasn’t mentioned much in the books but she seemed fun and I think it will be cool to learn more about her.
2-While the last book in the Immortals series wasn’t too good, the others were. I really like Alyson Noel’s writing.
3- The cover is pretty and the book comes out on my brother’s birthday. Maybe I can convince him to get me a present for his birthday. =]
What are you waiting on this Wednesday?
thanks for the heads up on this one!
” Maybe I can convince him to get me a present for his birthday.” LOL. That’s nice. I’m really excited for Radiance to come out, too. Riley looks so pretty in the cover! I didn’t do my WoW today, but I posted about Radiance as well. 🙂

I didn’t realize that she was going to write a book about Riley. I’ll totally have to read this!
I can’t wait to read this one!! I love the cover and I think it’ll be a great MG read.
Hmmm…
I really didn’t like what I read of the Immortals series. The quality seemed to go downhill, and I was left with the impression that the books were just being pumped out to make money (rather than tell a good story). I’m afraid this is just going to be more of the same.
The premise sounds interesting (as did the premise for Evermore), but if this series is as poorly written as its YA counterpart, I’m going to pass.
Pretty cover, though.
Wow, I didn’t know there was a spin-off type thing. This sounds awesome! I wasn’t happy with the writing in Evermore though… Hopefully this is better.
LOL good luck getting him to buy you a present LOL – I agree I liked the first 2 books and the last was OK…I am looking forward to the 4th book though and this one looks soooo pretty!
