Today I have an interview with the awesome Sarah from Sarah’s Random Musings. Sarah’s was one of the first blogs I stumbled upon and she is fabulous!
What are you like outside of blogging?
I am a university student, so I obviously love studying. Well not really, but I spend a lot of my time doing that or at least procrastinating from studying. I also love movies, TV, writing, cooking, and hanging out with friends or family. Some of my favorite movies are Easy A, Atonement, Never Let Me Go, Phantom of the Opera, and Say Anything. Some of my favorite television shows are Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Skins, Glee, and more recently Once Upon a Time and Revenge. I am also starting to like exercising, which is an amazing thing.
What book changed your life?
Harry Potter has changed my life the most. It is the book that got me to read many other books and has influenced a lot of the friendships that I have had. I really love that series and it has made my life a lot better. I was also a reader of only historical or contemporary fiction, until I read this series.
What made you decide to start your blog?
I was homeschooled at that time and I didn’t really talk to anyone my age, because of the constant doctor appointments and treatments. One of my doctors suggested that I should keep a blog as a way to interact with other people. I tried for several months to write post about my life, but I didn’t find it interesting. It wasn’t until I found my first book blog that I even though about blogging about books, so I that is what I did.
What blogs/bloggers inspire you?
Frenetic Reader, Zoe’s Book Blog, Coffee and Cliffhangers, Bookalicious, The Alley of Books, The Book Cellar, Novel Thoughts, The Story Siren, and probably many other epic blogs that I am spacing on. Each blog is run by a really unique and awesome person with great dedication and a love for books. That is why I love this community.
What are your goals for your blog in the future?
To try to find more time to maintain my blog find unique ways to connect to the reader.
What is your best book blogging moment?
I can’t really narrow it down to one moment, but pretty much anytime that I meet someone and they know about my blog and like it. It is really surreal and awesome. Another moment was when I met several of my book bloggers in the span of one year, because they are some of my closest friends.
