Movie news:

Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris has been picked up by MTV as their next scripted TV show.  I loved this book so I would be very happy if this happened! For more information check out The Hollywood Reporter’s article!

Disney Channel has optioned Awkward by Marni Bates to be made into a television movie.  For more information check out Agent Savant’s post here!

And there is another Breaking Dawn TV spot.  This one features Bella arm-wrestling Emmett!  You can watch the clip here!

Publishing news:

There’s a new blog tour group out there and you guys want to join this awesome group.  Rockstar Book Tours is a free of charge blog tour site run by Jaime of Two Chicks On Books and Rachel of Fiktshun.  They are just getting started but they already have a handful of fabulous authors signed up.

Diana Peterfreund made a fabulous announcement on her blog this week.  Her Fall 2013 book is called Across A Star-Swept Sea and was inspired by The Scarlet Pimpernel. Get excited, you guys!  This book is going to be awesome.  Head over to Diana Peterfreund’s blog to congratulate her!

Shannon Stoker’s “new adult” debut, The Registry, sold to William Morrow.  According to Publisher’s Marketplace it is, “set in a United States in which girls are breeders and the prettiest girls go to the highest bidders — telling the story of the one young woman who refuses to play by those rules.”  It will be published in 2013 with two follow-up books in 2014.

Eliza Crewe, has been signed in a two book deal between Amanda Rutter of Strange Chemistry and Victoria Marini of Gelfman Schneider Literary Agents. CRACKED is going to be published in November 2013.  For more information check it out on Goodreads and add it to you to-read shelf!

Book trailer of the week:

Technically there are two Evolution of Mara Dyer book trailers but I like this creepy one the best.

Noteworthy blog posts/articles:

Kelly over at Radiant Shadows posted an awesome debate (with herself) about Blogger and WordPress.  I’m one of the bloggers who is a little scared to switch so I loved getting some more insight about both Blogger and WordPress.  If you are like me and want some more info, definitely check out Kelly’s post here!

Kirthi over at Pages talked about a great topic this week: sad books or happy books.  I love them both but my friends don’t always understand why I adore sad books.  Kirthi explains it wonderfully in her post so check it out here.

Erika over at Rescue Reads posted an awesome discussion on Happily Ever After.  While I do love my happy endings I have to agree that she makes some fabulous points regarding the chances of these happy endings actually happening in real life.  Check out her post here and leave your thoughts in the comments!

  1. Great post.

I’ve added Girl Parts on to my Wish List – so thank you for another book suggestion. (My Kindle Wish List is starting to creak under the strain).

As for the Cover Reveals, I’ve already see the one for Unbreakable and I like the look of it. If I had a choice, I would have preferred the US covers for the Unraveling series, but we had a different cover in the UK which reminds me of the poster for Source Code.

    Best wishes.

  2. The cover reveals were ridiculous this week! WOW! So many pretties! I think Goddess is my favorite! There is also something I really like about Parallel. And of course Sweet Peril.
Super stoked about Diana Peterfreund’s new book too! 🙂

Thanks for sharing all this news! And thank you for sharing a giveaway on my blog! 🙂

  3. So. Many. Cover reveals this week. Some of them are so pretty:)
The Registry sounds like it has potential to be really good, and I cannot wait for more information about it.
    Thanks for all the information!

  4. Have you read Icons by Margaret Stohl? I found it really different. Beautifully written but I didn’t love the characters. The world and aliens was interesting.
